Jean Spengel, DVM - Dr. Spengel is a local veterinarian and the former owner of La Jolla Veterinary Hospital. A graduate of the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine, She also serves on the Veterinary Advisory Board to the Humane Society of San Diego and is the liaison to the San Diego County Veterinary Medical Association for the Fiesta Island Development Plan.

Debbie Madden - Debbie holds an electrical engineering degree from San Diego State University and is an operations manager for Solar Turbines. Debbie is a founding member of FIDO and an active member of numerous professional associations, as well as canine sporting clubs. Debbie is a frequent visitor to Fiesta Island with her Rhodesian Ridgebacks.
Myrna Marston - Myrna is a partner in the public relations firm of Marston+Marston. The agency specializes in public affairs issues facing San Diegans.
Carolyn Chase - Carolyn is a founder and CEO of San Diego EarthWorks, organizers of the EarthFair in Balboa Park. and the Annual Bright Green Future Conference. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of the San Diego Sierra Club and served for five years as a Planning Commissioner for the City of San Diego.
Suzanne Lanham - Suzanne is an international marketing professional specializing in wireless communication technology. Her family has called Mission Bay “home” since 1945 and has seen San Diego and Mission Bay grow to a world class recreation area. She enjoys the undeveloped and wide open space of Fiesta Island while exercising with her dogs. Suzanne joined the FIDO board to ensure this unique space is saved for future generations to enjoy with their “best friends”.
PJ Patel - PJ is an co-owner of Jamboree Pet Care, a pet sitting and dog walking company in San Diego. Prior to founding Jamboree Pet Care she worked as a Legislative Aide and Press Secretary for a United States Congressman. She uses Fiesta Island to run with and play with her dog Xaria, a Belgian Malinois Shepherd who learned to swim and to get along with other people and dogs at Fiesta Island. PJ often runs into clients and friends while playing with Xaria at Fiesta Island. She values the island as an important social hub in San Diego.
Brent Wells - Brent has spent the last 10 years toiling in the trenches of the financial services world. He has spent more time studying for tests since getting out of college than he ever did during college. Currently, he works as a compliance principal for a semi-large broker dealer here in town while studying for his CFP designation. His passion for wine helped start perhaps one of the first urban wineries in San Diego county - Fifty Barrels Winery Group and Carlsbad Coastal Winery located in Oceanside. He continues there as the Controller and cellar rat on most weekends. Fiesta Island plays an important role in his life by being able to get outside and relax with his 2 dogs in its wide open format.
Denise Wells - Denise is the Broker/Co-Founder of San Diego Real Estate Specialists and holds the designations of GRI, SFR, and e-PRO. Utilizing her extensive background in mass communications, sales and marketing, she also works independently as a business consultant, specializing in online communications, marketing/media and web design. She holds a Master of Arts in Literature and Writing Studies and teaches communication and composition courses at University of Phoenix. In her spare time she volunteers for a local senior center, and is the Board President for her HOA. Denise joined the FIDO Board to make sure her two dogs, Reilly and Bella, are able to continue enjoying their favorite place in the world.
